Dubbed the first luxury hotel in London in 1889, and undergoing a complete face-lift in 2009

Our company was privileged to be appointed as manufacturer and supplier of all of the specialist joinery to the 268 bedrooms and suites of the hotel. Working to an exacting brief we manufactured all of the “Art Deco” and “Edwardian” styled joinery to suit each individual room type within the hotel, including hand carved Corinthian columns and capitals with fluted pilasters in solid mahogany raised and fielded doors in rich curly mahogany veneers, bookcases and wardrobes in crown cut mahogany, and selected figured sycamore veneers polished to a traditional finish with modern durable lacquers.

As the crowning glory to the hotel we manufactured and supplied all of the custom joinery to the 8-room Presidential Suite overlooking the Royal River Thames, with entire rooms paneled in flame mahogany veneers and solid mahogany timbers, with an antiqued timeless appearance. All elements were carefully designed to incorporate all of today’s modern technology, with mirror televisions, subtle LED lightning, and concealed sound system. This particular suite was dry assembled “in the white” for final approval and inspection within the factory for our client, prior to final polishing and delivery directly to the site.
